Excellent upgrade for your Futaba T9CHP/CAP or other module based FM Futaba transmitter – please check online for compatability with your transmitter. However, I only got around to flying 2 models with this module and never used the high speed receiver -‘still new in original packaging although I did test it. I’m reluctant to let the receiver go since I had planned on installing it in a trusty Raptor 50 with all Futaba digital servos, but never got around to it. The receiver is spec’d to have a 7ms frame rate in high speed mode when using digital servos. If you will be using any analog servos on channels 1 through 6, be sure to follow the instructions to set to normal 14ms mode (channels 7 and 8 are normal mode and can accept any servo). I suppose this high speed gives the well seasoned 3D pilot that extra edge, but I’m still flying pretty much scale (no 3D) and wouldn’t notice the increased performance. I’ve upgraded to a Futaba FASSTest transmitter, enjoying linking all my FASST receivers again, and setting up my arsenal of aircraft… Hopefully I’ll get around to flying them too!
