Nice used Tamiya TA03R TRF Special chassis with Acto-Power motor and Futaba servo. Very unique chassis that came with most of the TA03 hop-ups out of the box. This has been altered slightly from box stock. Instead of the gold servo stays, this one has the limited purple ones complimented by purple aluminum suspension balls. It has blue rear long axle spacers instead of the gold ones. All the other gold parts are there, motor mount plate, front universal shafts, rear dogbones, and super low friction dampers. It also has pink lightweight king pins instead of the silver ones. These subtle changes make it look akin to a TA03RS TRF 58243. The servo, wheels, tires are new and have not been driven. Tires are not glued, if you run them they definitely need to be glued. The tires are not the Type A reinforced slicks. Instead they’re the 50454 slicks. Depending on the surface you will be using the car on, it may need to be raised up by changing to harder springs or removing the spacers inside the front dampers. The TRF specification has it low and the chassis will bottom out easily if run on lumpy asphalt. If run on a smooth circuit or tennis court the height will be fine. Extra tuning parts included; hard stabilizer bar, short soft & medium springs, normal hard springs. Tamiya Acto-Power Super Touring 15T brushed motor 53153. Futaba S3004 ball bearing servo. Tamiya Racing Pack 1700 SCR 55056. Genuine Tamiya TA03 aluminum knuckles 53325. Urethane TA03R bumper 53304. Pin type wheel adapters 53056. Things I’m obligated to point out… As pictured, the rear gear case has a flat spot depression in the plastic under the stabilizer. The rear damper stay has a split where one of the upper arm screws is. The front gear case has worn slightly behind the pulley on the counter shaft but all works fine. The antenna mount is grey (all the other plastics are black as they should be). The motor can has scratches in the gunmetal finish but works extremely good. There are scratches on the lower deck and suspension arms from use. I try to be critical in my listings and point out anything of interest, this chassis is functionally very good and all of the little issues are fairly inconspicuous. This is a great looking, rare chassis that I’ve displayed with several other TRF chassis. The included 1700 SCR battery is in ok condition. It only charges about 970mah (50% of original capacity). I’m including it since it completes the excellent shelf queen look and these batteries are impossible to find nowadays. This battery might be usable, but I’m only including it for aesthetic. Maybe not everyone gets as exited as I do at the appearance of one of these batteries? The plug is held in place by clear gel servo tape, easily removable. Please check out my other listings!
