I was big in RC cars when I was in high school but drifted out of the hobby during college and afterwards with a career. My young kids have gotten me back into the hobby with their love of monster trucks. Last summer I got back into the hobby with a Traxxas Stampede 4×4 VXL and love it. That truck is the most fun I’ve ever had with an RC vehicle and my kids love it it too. I just don’t like it when they try to drive the truck and I have to go order replacement parts when they are done. Recently I also picked up a Rustler 4×4 vxl. Anyways, this Team Losi XX4 was my last previous RC car that I kept with me through college to today. Earlier this year I took this car out of my garage for the first time in over 10 years. The belts shredded, so I replaced all three this spring, and I test drove the car twice with the new belts. In taking it apart, I had trouble with a couple screws and messed up the rear bottom of the chassis (see pictures), but is holds together well (screw holes got enlarged essentially). After 10+ years, I pulled out the battery pack from the transmitted and the plastic shell cracked at the top. I used some electrical tape to hold it in place and it works (see picture). Also included are some extra parts and body, although the purple wing is cracked at the holes. I also have the original manual for the car too. Please let me know if you have any questions.
