First lets talk about the car. I got it just as it sits, other than the front shock. We will cover the shock later. I bought a battery on Amazon and turned on the remote and it ran! Also comes with the original bracket parts. Wires at the rear heat sink look over heated. Now the front shock. The original stock front shock was sagging as these usually do. I found a Dymond Racing brand vintage front replacement shock. Unfortunately it doesnt work as I had hoped. I can move the shock and suspension full range of motion when squeezing with fingers but sticks at the top. I truly think I just put the incorrect shock oil in it. Probably an easy solution but lack of time prevent me from investigating it. The original shock and all parts come with the car if you want to bring it back to original. There is an unpainted body and wing that says 1985 in the molding but its likely a rerelease body. I have a new set of rerelease stickers and what is a mostly complete original set of stickers. One oddity is that if the power switch is in the off position when you plug in the battery the motor will spin the wheels. As soon as you turn the switch to on it syncs with the transmitter and all is well. The throttle is a little off as is the steering. Needs a little tuning. There are 2 radios included. A very nice in the box Futaba magnum Junior. Unsure of its working condition. Looks like minimal use. Also is a Futaba magnum Sport. This is the transmitter remote that will run this car. Its dusty but functions very well. Including the original 1985 manual, has a tear in the spine and the cover. Original tires, minimal wear. Still a bit dusty in the corners. Several other small parts and partial part trees. Both are easy to put back on and in place. If you are looking for a complete and original 80s Hotshot to restore or run as is this is an excellent candidate. Its complete and has been used minimally. Some flaws but all are easily remedied.
