Apologise to those who were watching this I’ve dropped the price so thought I’d re-list Thanks! …………………………… Restored and refurbished RTR except batteries. This is un-driven since restoration except for a spin on the kitchen tiles to test it! Its very nice & in very good condition. Please study the pictures as these form part of the description/condition. This Vintage Tamiya Truck from the 1980’s has been stripped down, cleaned, sprayed up & put back together again into what you see here. Everything on the chassis works & all any bits etc have been changed for good ones. The moving parts all have a little silicone grease on so as not to drip on a shelf, so for serious running it may need a decent oil up! The Chassis to this one is in good condition with only a very small patch wear on the underside of the gearbox. The chassis has a couple of marks around the battery tray lugs but does not really look worn at all. The screws are mostly bright and shiny. The metal guard and front bumper both have a few small marks on them but look pretty good. The metal bevel gearset has been changed the cv boots are g. And the body mount brace G1 is black alloy. The radio gear is all vintage – 2 x Futaba FPS 148 servos with a futaba FP R112JE reciever and vintage MSC all set up and running the standard/vintage looking motor correctly, just need batteries to power it up & run it. It comes with a futaba/ripmax transmitter running on 27mhz spec. The transmitter battery cover has had a bit of glue on the catch but appears to be holding up ok. The body to this one is very nice but it has had a fender patch smoothed over and painted etc. So it doesn’t show much. This body has new re-re Glass. The front grille is original 80’s with plenty of shine left on it but with some small dent/scuff marks the rear bumper has been re-finished. The Tailgate is a re-pro item, with the raised FORD emblem. It has some pinprick sized casting’pits’ in it so its not perfect but might benefit from some more paintwork? ! . The rear bed also has a slight blemish which is only visible in certain light conditions, but i’d better mentioin it! It has an aftermarket aerial holder fitted also. Its finished with MCI racing decals, and looks very nice indeed! The wheels and tyres to this one are vintage original, the tyres are a bit hard but i cant see any cracks & will be ok for the shelf. All in all a really nice piece of 80’s Tamiya history, and a must for any collection! Finished to a lovely standard, (please check my feedback). Which would look great on a shelf! Alternatively with spring coming, what better way to kick up some dust!! Costs-wise its up for sale for what it owes me & relative condition. The parts for these are going up and up and up!
